Therapy for Anxiety and Trauma:
A Personalised Approach
Recovering from anxiety and trauma is possible. With the right support, you can rebuild resilience, regain control, and move toward a life where fear and distress no longer define your day-to-day life.
I offer a tailored, evidence-based approach that integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Pragmatic Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Systemic Psychotherapy—helping individuals process painful experiences, manage
overwhelming emotions, and develop lasting strategies for well-being.
Understanding Anxiety and Trauma
Trauma and anxiety can feel like they take over—causing distress, intrusive thoughts, or persistent worry. But healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means understanding your experiences in a way that no longer holds you back.
I help individuals:
- Process trauma in a safe, structured way
- Manage anxiety and emotional overwhelm
- Develop coping strategies that promote long-term resilience
- Rebuild a sense of security and control
- Strengthen emotional connections and self-worth
A Hopeful Path Forward
Therapy should feel affirming, supportive, and empowering. Healing isn’t just about reducing symptoms—it’s about regaining confidence, understanding yourself deeply, and moving forward with clarity.
- Please note that if you are also regularly struggling with thoughts and intentions related to suicide, then I recommend that you approach your general practitioner or regular medical physician for advice and onwards referral to a provider that can best meet your needs. This is often a team that can offer out-of-hours contact, is staffed by multiple professional disciplines, and can provide medical review and intervention if needed.
